Apple + Developers = Earnings
Sunday, October 25th, 2009
Apple, Inc reported their highest earnings ever today.
But, Why?
But, Why?
Because they have proven that thoughtful design and attention to every minute detail will always win in the end.
Because they have shown that designing with both developers and users equally in mind is essential.
Because they noticed that being remarkable isn’t about being the go-to guy all the time.
Because they realized that it’s okay to do not have the biggest market share.
Because they realized there is a balance. And they found it.
Because they make the best laptops around.
Because they lead a tribe of people.
So, Congratulations Apple.
You deserve it.
Really.

Like others, I also need a Google Wave Invite. The reason is that I am dying for it. Who can blame me for being a Googlemaniac. But of course, I have one more reason. I am a teacher of computer science, I have been doing research on social networking, I have been following the development and innovation in this area. Happily to witness so many great ideas coming into being and I need to convey all these facts and ideas to my dear students. My teaching has always been Internet-based and Google-centered, and my main channel of communication with my students is these ever-changing ways online. So you can imagine how important Google Wave means to me and my students as well as colleagues.
In addition, I want to use Google Wave to teach my twin children, inspiring them with great ideas and creativity.
Even though I get no invite, I don’t blame anybody. I greatly admire Google’s way of doing self-promotion and marketing. If it is true to say that Market is key to Microsoft, then it is also well to claim that People is key to Google. I want to be one of those early people.
I would like to have an invite, please!
I am willing to share a naked photo of me or a MS Paint drawing of a circle, haven't decided yet. You'll know soon enough if you invite me.

My dear Kenneth,
I believe it is of utmost importance that normal, ignorant people like me get the opportunity to test google wave …. I am sure that professionals can build, create and invent such systems (like google wave, like Pythonic language, …) very well, but don't underestimate the power of uninitiated people for comments … they (I) can tell google how the masses will use and understand (or not) the new stuff…
So the request for an invite may not be creative, it is a smart one, and I promise you to be creative and indepth in my comments to google .
And of course… it will also improve my image towards friends (potential) clients, … when I tell them that I AM IN!
thank you soooooo much,
ann_Y
Kenneth – I would love to take Google Wave for a spin. If you have any invites left, mind if I take one?
HA HA, I have Google Voice and I am also taking auditions for invites, but I am still looking for a Google Wave invite… So how about it:)
I'd really like an invite, if you've got one to spare!
